American Estate & Trust, LC (AET) wholly owns and operates the web sites americanestateandtrust.com, americanestatetrust.com, TrusteeAmerica.com and IRAcentral.com. AET is a state of Nevada licensed trust company, meeting all state requirements for capital reserves and bonding. The company is regulated and examined by Nevada Financial Institutions Division (FID), which is the state's financial institutions regulatory body. Background checks on AET principals are performed by FID.
As a trust company, AET must maintain minimum capital reserves and meet certain other stringent standards of honesty, competence, compliance with the law, etc.
Under our license from Nevada, and under Internal Revenue Service regulations, AET is allowed to: Provide full custodial and administrative services for IRAs, 401(k)s, health and educational savings accounts; act as an independent and professional trustee for private trusts (living trusts, etc.); and provide escrow and qualified intermediary services for 1031 real estate exchanges.

Scott Janko is a co-founder of American Estate & Trust, LC. He has over twenty five years experience in executive management positions with both small and Fortune 500 firms. Prior to his AET position he spent 6 years as Senior Consultant at IBM where he created management systems for and provided consulting to Fortune 500 companies. Scott Janko is an expert in trustee services and IRA and 401(k) retirement plans, with an emphasis on self-directed IRA and 401(k) planning. His areas of responsibility for AET are: Complete oversight and management of all company operations, IRA and 401(k) consulting, trustee services, trust accounting management and information systems management.

Mike Janko is a co-founder of American Estate & Trust, LC. Mr Janko has been in trust company, investment management and trust and estate planning activities since 1993 He developed AET's investment trust funds which he actively oversees and manages Mr. Janko has also researched and developed an extensive number of estate and tax planning programs, products, and services He developed and authored a nationally recognized, m-depth training and certification program known as Certified Estate Advisor (CEA®) Since 1993 he has serviced thousands of trusts and trust accounts in numerous investment strategies, trust transactions and legal needs Mr. Janko is recognized as one of the nation's leading trust and estate planning experts and regularly provides consulting to attorneys, CPAs, and financial advisors on trust and estate planning matters.
Brian G. Tillotson, Esq.

Brian Tillotson is a licensed attorney and past member of the American Bar Association's business law, taxation, real property, and estate planning sections. Mr. Tillotson possesses over fifteen years of business systems and management experience. He has also completed over 75% of the course requirements towards a Master of Science in Finance degree from the University of Utah. As general counsel, he advises AET on federal law issues related to complex business, real estate, tax, securities and retirement planning structures.
David A. Freeberg

David Freeberg has a background of over twenty five years in banking and financial services. Before joining AET he was Vice President of financial services in the mortgage banking industry, and was credited with the development of the finance department for a major international company. He served in senior bank management positions for several national banking institutions and as a regional manager and compliance officer over twelve branch banks. Mr. Freeberg offers extensive experience in financial operations, trust and account servicing, compliance and risk management, audits, regulatory examinations, portfolio management, financial reporting and analysis, customer service, wealth management and dynamic leadership.
